    A very good guess Sadhbh. One of the common names used for this bug is the alligator bug so you were pretty close. This guy is not a moth but does look quite like one with his wings extended. It also has some interesting defensive mechanisms which I will reveal tomorrow ;0)

    Is it a moth if some description?! Looks like a crocodile with wings!!
